Home Health Aide Program (HHA)
Program Overview
This is a 1-Week Home Health Aide Training Program which prepares CNA's for certification as a Home Health Aide by the State of California. This certification allows the Home Health Aide to function as an entry level worker on a health care team. Only individuals with a current Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) certificate may enroll in a 40 Hour Home Health Aide Training Program to become a certified Home Health Aide (HHA). Students will learn the introduction to home health aide and agency role; interpretation of medical and social needs of people being served; personal care services; nutrition; cleaning and care tasks in the home. Classes include a combination of theory, skills lab, and clinical training. Class size is limited!

PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS

PROGRAM DURATION
1 week (40 hours)
Hours include:
20 hours of Theory
20 hours of Clinical Training
Monday- Friday Schedule
Theory Hours: 8:00 AM- 5:00 PM
Clinical Hours: 7:00 AM- 4:00 PM
(Clinical Training Sites are located in Fresno and Clovis)
GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS
- All Tuition and Fees paid in full.
-All required 20 hours of Theory Training and 20 hours of Clinical Training.
-A passing grade of 70% or better on theory module tests.
-Pass clinical evaluations with Satisfactory performances.

$500.00

Estimated Fees for Materials, Supplies and Books- $100.00-$200.00*
Estimated Total Program Cost- $600-$700.00**Estimated cost includes fees for uniforms, student books and other course material and supplies.
